Mrs Stix and I died so many times it was ridiculous. Monsters would animation-lock you with stuns – and 2 to 3 shot you in the time it took you to stand back up – at the beginning of the game. Speaking of combat, my god was this the most unbalanced start to an MMO I’ve ever seen. not very powerful at all, interestingly enough. As a Mage I can happily say that my abilities looked like they packed quite the punch – they were impactful, beautiful to look at and. You had several abilities that you could combo together – and the ability to either freely aim your abilities or toggle an auto-lock removing the need for you to aim at all, eliminating the whole “action combat” aspect of the game, surprisingly.Ībilities looked fantastic, though. void of expression, and that was very jarring to watch.Ĭombat wasn’t bad. Even in the cutscenes – they were just so. Which is one of the issues I have with the game – the characters were so unemotive. The first several seconds after talking to an NPC they remain completely frozen – with no movement in their face at all. There was no diversity at all – and don’t even get me started on the syncing of NPCs lines with their lips. Character models for NPCs were reused everywhere with almost no diversity. Unleashed, though? Yes, the game can at times be a lot more aesthetically appealing than its predecessor, and the action combat was kind of a step in the right direction, but that’s about it.Ĭharacter models were noticeably higher quality, but the character creator was incredibly limited. I poured over 60 hours into the South Korean, Japanese and Russian versions of Bless Online and although my opinions on the incarnation of the game I played were mixed, I still found enjoyment out of various aspects of the game.

Bless Unleashed, at its core is a very basic MMORPG.
